Who is responsible

What data we collect and why
- Order request: name, email, phone, delivery address and billing details where requested, and the products you chose. We use this to reply to your request, send payment instructions, ship the order and meet tax obligations. Basis: performance of a contract and legal obligation.
- Chai launch notice: only your email, so we can write to you about the launch. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Email messages: the details you send us, so we can reply.
Who we share it with
- Formspree (Formspree, Inc., United States), the service that receives the website forms and forwards them to our email. The transfer relies on the safeguards provided for in the GDPR.
- CTT (Portuguese postal service), to deliver orders, and the company's accountants where needed.
- GitHub Pages hosts the website and may log technical access data such as your IP address.
- Google Fonts supplies the site's typefaces, which sends your IP address to Google when the page loads.
We do not sell your data or pass it to third parties for marketing.
How long we keep it
Order and billing data are kept for the period required by tax and commercial law. The Chai list email is kept until you withdraw consent or the launch is over, and you can ask us to delete it whenever you like.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies and does not use audience analytics.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of or objection to processing, portability, and withdraw consent, by writing to info@alkarub.pt. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD (cnpd.pt).
